We are looking for a driven and self-motivated Accountant to join a new B2B service provider in Gibraltar. You will thrive working in a fast paced environemtn and have previously experience and be comfortable in a small team and working autonomously.
To be successful you will be;
Trained and experienced in accounting and double entry bookkeeping to an intermediateor advanced level
Have hands-on experience using accounting software in a corporate environment (Sage products an advantage) including .csv import of journal entries and similar data
Capable of maintaining the books for multiple companies based in different currencies
Have a strong understanding of foreign currencies and foreign exchange accounting on a transactional, revaluation and company reporting level
Understand financial statements and the principles of consolidation and can explain and find your way around a balance sheet
Expert experience of bank and sub-ledger reconciliations and understand the principles of control and clearing accounts
Can prepare month-end accounts to final trial balance level, employing accruals, deferrals and reversing entries as required
Are an advanced Excel user with the ability to process, analyse and make sense of large amounts of data including preparation of such data for accounting system upload
Are comfortable in an online banking environment across a number of banking platforms
Can solve otherwise complex problems by seeking simple, efficient and understandable solutions with an ability to 'think outside the box'
Are highly conscious of the security requirements of handling and processing company and client data
Reporting to the General Manager the day to day of this role will include:
Own the day-to-day bookkeeping for the business
Accurately code and record financial transactions in accordance with company policy
Prepare accurate and timely weekly and monthly financial reports for management supported by written and verbal analysis and explanat
